Ya know, neither the left nor the right is going to ruin my holiday

Neither FOX News and Bill O'Reilly telling me Christmas is under attack, or granolas telling me I should avoid crass consumerism.

I'm gonna eat cookies, drink eggnog, buy presents and go to holiday parties and have a good time.

And that's all I have to say about that.

I'm going to decorate, buy presents, wrap presents, listen to holiday music, drink LOTS of eggnog, watch christmas themed movies, eat turkey, eat ham, sing, dance, drink and just have a merry old time.

In fact, I'm listening to a rather horrendous version of Sleigh Ride by Johnny Mathis. And dammit, I like it.

5. No, no! That's not horrendous! It's my favorite version of the song.

My husband thinks Johnny Mathis is too nasally, but he likes that version of Sleigh Ride anyway.

You want to know a horrendous version? Try Jack Jones. He sings it too fast and he pronounces pumpkin pie as "punkin pie", to my eternal consternation. Besides, when I hear his voice, all I can think of is The Love Boat.

I'm with you all the way on the rest of your post. In fact, I just made a batch of peanut blossoms today. Some to eat now, and some to freeze for Christmas.
