5. Wait - that might be too upbeat to be considered a "slow song."
How about Muskrat Love?

27. If I've said it once... I've said it a thousand times!
I didn't know what they were talking about!

Would make a snappy punk tune... tho.

Another good suggestion would be, "Relax".

42. They Weren't SOME BAND!!!!!
Lol & Creme were the brains behind some of the finest pop out of England in the 70's and went on to do production of Police videos like "Every Breath. . ." and "Wrapped Around My Finger".

Not just "some band". Now take that back! You've hurt my feelings! Waaaaahhhh!

47. So sorry, ProfessorGAC....I didn't know you'd take it to heart.
But I did hate that song with the 'big boys don't cry' line.

Loved the old Police Synchronicity videos though, so no hard feelings, ok?

36. MacArthur Park, Magnet and Steel, Havin' My Baby, Laughter in the Rain
Edited on Thu Dec-01-05 03:35 PM by Strawman
I think the way MacArthur Park builds up lends itself to some serious screaming. It would be fun to scream lyrics like "someone left a cake out in the rain."

Goober and The Peas did a good cover of MacArthur Park, but it wasn't crunchy.

Any Anka would be good. "One Man Woman" is another. Same with Neil Sedaka. The kids love him.
