2. When I lived in Houston, friends would turn on the A/C and light a fire!
It would be 85-F on an October day and I'd see a big blazing fire in certain fireplaces. Too weird.

7. Summer or winter
there's nothing better than a nice, thick stack of handmade quilts on fresh cotton sheets in a cool room.

My Dad worked on a silicon furnace. All during my childhood, we kept the house morgue-cold for him. Now it's ingrained.

i'm from alaska, and i miss the cold...big time...here in sw missouri, the damn summer just wont' die...its still holding on, just last week it was in the 70s...give me a damn break...last week was friggen thanksgiving!!...:)
