2. I'm with you here.
The Christmas tree has gone up at work - I'm now officially in my pre-Christmas curmudgeon phase, the first person to say "but it's Christmas" to me will get a Medusan glare and then some. :nuke:

3. I don't understand, please tell me why?
I mean it gives everyone a reason to be happy if they want to be.

Even if you aren't a Christmas "celebrator" it brings out the happy in so many people. :)

4. Christmas brings out the happy in people?
I disagree. People fighting for parking spots, driving like maniacs to get to the mall so they can get their shopping done and grab that "great deal". Conflict about who got what, who spent more, etc. If Christmas was about spending time with family, friends, then I could buy it, but it's become nothing more than a consumer event.

No, thanks. I hide as much as possible until January 1.

5. I agree with the part about shoppers and the maddness
The people I hang with are about having fun without going into debt. I'm lucky, even here at work we have a pot luck and get together. Everyone I know does make it about family and friends. Not one of us bought into "black Friday" thinking.

8. Because it's not Christmas.
Christmas starts on the evening of 24th December and runs to the 6th January. I will celebrate it with much gusto and jolity when it actually gets here - but it has not done so yet.
