Anyone else not into the Christmas season yet?
I'm not. I've done a little shopping for the grandbabies, but beyond that, I don't really care to go participate. There is no tree in this house and no wreath on the door this year. My husband, in his fondness for fruitcake, did by a couple and soak them down with rum and brandy and he's bought his egg nog to indulge himself. I just can't get into it this year. I may lose my job at the end of January and won't know for several weeks yet. I'm worried about the cut in income it may bring and the slow job market in this area.

I know other people who just are not into it this year too.

2. I'm not really.
But I'm trying. The shopping is done -- all online, so I have no idea what the stores look like. We're trying to move and that's taking up all our time and energy. We tossed the fiber optic tree we had for 2 years b/c it melted together last year. So we have a couple little Rosemary trees, but they're dying after just a week (yes, we watered them).

Sorry about your job. I know how scary that is.

4. I'm never into it.
December is just such a hell of a month for us that I'd rather go to bed in the middle of November and not wake up until Valentine's Day.

Five birthdays, 3 anniversaries AND christmas? Bah, humbug!

5. LOL Bad luck there.
I don't know why people insist on getting married near x-mas...don't people have ENOUGH things on their minds as it is??? And it's not like a one shot thing, because every year after that is an anniversary. :P :P

6. Well, one of those birthdays is my husband's.
On christmas eve. I think he wasn't quite what his mother wanted that year. And she probably wished Sinterklaas had brought him.
