A System that Lets Air Guitarists Hear Themselves Play
HELSINKI - Finnish computer science students have reportedly devised a system which enables air guitarists to hear themselves "play".
<snip>
Using a computer to monitor the hand movements of the "player", it adds riffs and licks to match frantic mid-air finger work, reports New Scientist.

I thought this was pretty interesting, but I don't know if I'd want to hear the results of someone's air guitar riffing. LOL

4. Ah! You may scoff, but
this will be a boon to serious air guitarists. :thumbsup:

Miri Park, the 2004 World Air Guitar Champion, studies the tabs for the songs she performs so her fingering will be accurate. I suspect others do this as well. With Virtual Air Guitar, they'll be able to hear it to make sure they've got it right.

(Ignore the stupid graphic at the top of the page. I consider it an insult to all serious air musicians.)

5. RIght! I forgot about that!
Last year, I saw something on TV about big air guitar competitions. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I always think of the drunk kid at the concert playing air guitar in a way that probably doesn't resemble any song extant.
