My mom has no tact
My wife and I went out to dinner tonight with my mom and her boyfriend Joop. As background both my mom and Joop are dutch, and thus talk by yelling. Anyways, during dinner out of nowhere my mom turns to my wife and says: "You didn't really have a life during high school, did you?" really loudly.

:wow:

I could not believe she said that. My mom meant it in the nicest possible way, but damn!

Why do moms behave this way?

you realize you have turned into her. *lol*

3. Not to be rude....
But my father is an employee for Shell and having worked for Englishmen, Cornishmen, Scotsmen, and Dutchmen, he says that the Dutch have the least amount of tact he's encountered. They're very....straightforward. ;)

4. Its true.
My mom, Joop, my god parents and everyone around me is Dutch. Judgemental, loud, rude, tactless people. However, they love a good party and are always there in a pinch.

He wonders what it is about that tiny piece of land that makes them that way. :D

My sister-in-law's brother is married to a Dutch woman from Curacao. Very wealthy family. The rudest people I have ever met. It's painful to spend more than 5 minutes with them.
