1. Going from Keith Jackson to Brent is a major step down.
Brent roots for the big stars to do things, and is not very good at anticipating action.

4. Absolutely
All the Keith Jackson clones can cover all the football games...get rid of Al Michaels, Joe Theeeeeesman (er Theisman), etc.

6. Well, I'm just waiting for the end of this VA Tech game, so I can crash.
What a set of stunningly bad games we had today. Blowout city. I had such high hopes.

There better be some damn good NFL games tomorrow. :grr:

5. Well Keith Jackson retired and they got him to come back.
But he made a stipulation that he would only do west coast games.

10. And now Va Tech has a chance
See, you whined your way into a semi-competitive game. More than 10 minutes left and 12 point deficit.

I've got to root for FSU since it's better for my Canes, supposedly. We might play Lousiville in the Gator Bowl. If so, I'll drive up to the game from my sister's home north of Orlando.

The game that surprised me was the SEC. That conference is almost always very competitive among the top teams.

Maybe Tech will score again.

Bowl game? What's that? :eyes:

13. Yeah, I thought you guys would make a bowl this year
With Reggie McNeal a senior and the coaching staff a bit entrenched. I guess that first game really hurt in the long run, when Clemson came from behind with the last second FG. I watched that game.

At least the new QB looks very promising and the recruiting seems to be much improved over a few years ago.

14. Yeah, there was a major regression this year.
Of course, we shouldn't have been in the Cotton Bowl last year, but instead a lower bowl. But, Texas whined its way into the BCS and up we went. Things haven't been good since that shellacking by Tennessee. Our defense was horrific this year. 108th in D-1A. The offense actually wasn't too bad. So, the DC was canned, so maybe there will be improvement there too.

The future looks bright, but it looks pretty bright for the whole Big 12 South.
