Then, I would figure out the perfect place. One with ideals like mine, people that are nice, and a lifestyle that I felt sympatico with. I would check out exotic, affordable places like parts of Mexico. I would check Italy again, since that was a viable option, and I would re-assess the travels I made to other places like the south of France. I would think very hard about how to make a living (if I needed to) in that far-off location.
Then, I would do some more traveling and make sure the decision was a good one.
Then, I would carefully and patiently plan out a timetable and plan of action, and follow it through, realistically and to the letter, with LOTS of back up plans and variables thought out in case each critical scenario changed.
Then, I would do it.
I've been here in the south of France since July 7th. Things have changed a little in the big plan since we got here, but overall, the plan I began to put in place a year ago has come to fruition and is doing very well. I am indeed, a truly fortunate and lucky person so far. I hope my luck holds out.
I have absolutely no regrets about leaving the USA. I felt that staying without being able to take any actual actions against the regime was fruitless. I felt that by staying, I was enabling the regime, and couldn't continue to support the treasonous regime and genocidal actions with my tax dollars, and that was the very least of it all.
So, like Einstein leaving Hitler's Germany, I felt it was best to leave. Life here is pretty darned good. If you come here, I even have business opportunities available!
