30. There's a filter called a Warming Polarizer that you

should buy. Even digital cameras can benefit from polarizing filters, especially for the kind of scenes you posted.

By the way, I'm impressed by the one that has the pier with the lights on the right side. It's damn hard to catch that sort of thing, especially with a digital camera, so the lights don't "bloom."

It's so beautiful, almost poetic in it's effortless timelessness.

It could've been taken in the seventies, or the forties, or the twenties. It's so beautiful.

A friend of mine once told me that art reflects a persons soul. You have quite the eye for art, CP, and I respect that. You're okay in my book.

Great pictures. If I had some money, I would love to buy the first one from you and it would have place of honor on my wall, right under the mirror where the light hits all the time in the morning.

...In your series of sunsets from last night, there was one with a crescent moon and a bright star or planet. You responded to a post of mine where Err and I were wondering what that bright object was. You said you had a friend who may be into knowing about astronomy. I forgot to ask if you could check into it for me. I think it was Venus but I can not recall seeing Venus so bright before. Perhaps your friend may have some added information on this.

But I do believe that the bright object is Venus, as you thought...

I get a little periodical called the Griffith Observer, and I could look in there...if I can find the current issue, that is!

Venus is often bright here, esp. when the Santa Ana winds are blowing.
