Just got "Arrested Development" Season 1 on DVD

And having never watched this show before, I gotta say this show is great!

Too bad Fox axed it :(

1. AD was too beautiful to live

"Arrested Development" was probably the best thing to happen to television comedy since seasons 3-5 of "The Simpsons."

Nothing this sublime could survive a medium Harlan Ellison once called "a vast wasteland of shit."

2. it's totally axed, huh?

I just finished watching an episode 15 minutes ago. They must just be getting the last one or two out of the way. That sucks. I love that show.

4. When Fox moved AD to Monday night, that was the kiss of death.

They broadcast it at 7:00 Central Time. I always forgot that it was on, since I never turn on the TV that early. We don't watch much prime-time TV, but Sunday was our family TV night, with the Simpsons, Malcolm in the Middle, Bernie Mac and AD. Now, it's just the Simpsons that is worth watching. (Family Guy and American Dad are just too mainstream in a very crude way.)

Arrested Development just kept getting better and better. :-(
