Poll question: What do you put in your eggnog?
Tonight was my first eggnog of the season, so it's officially Christmastime now. Spiked it up real good with 151 rum and whipped cream. How do you take it?

1. I don't have any egg nog.
And I don't want any.

Why would anybody ruin good liquor by pouring it in egg nog?

;)

4. Grey Goose!
I used to put dark rum in mine, but two years ago I'd had a few too many and decided to "experiment". The Grey Goose worked VERY well ;)

18. Now that badger is COOL!
And bourbon goes very well with egg nog. I'm partial to Rebel Yell, mostly for sentimental reasons.

15. I'd go with Dark Rum....
But several of your options look good. Tequila in eggnog? Perhaps with an equal amount of Kahlua.

My favorte eggnog drink: Chilled nog & chilled coffee. Definitely cuts the heaviness of the eggnog. Even better with flavored coffee. Booze optional.

20. I love egg nog
and have typically made it with real eggs. Seems there's a lot of people who do not want to drink that kind anymore. Can you tell me why? Naturally, booze is optional.

Old-Fashioned Egg Nog (credit Sean Paajanen)

A super rich eggnog with cream and milk, with a bit of a kick from brandy and rum.

INGREDIENTS:

6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 cups milk
2 cups heavy whipping cream
3/4 cup brandy
1/3 cup dark rum

PREPARATION:

Chill everything before starting, for best results. Beat eggs until frothy, then beat in sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Slowly stir in brandy, rum, cream and milk. Chill again, and serve eggnog cold

22. I recently bought some pre-mixed eggnog
It contains rum, brandy AND blended whiskey. Oh, and a little bit of eggnog. It's like drinking a liquid hand grenade. I love it.

23. Bushmills
Although dark rum comes on a close second, as sometimes I don't want to mix Bushmills with anything but a little ice.
