OK - tell me if you think this is weird...... (mouse story)......

A few years ago my S.O. and I decided to watch "Mousehunt" on New Years Eve. We loved it, laughed a lot, toasted ourselves with champagne, kissed and retired for the evening.

In the morning - we arose and I began preparing breakfast. My S.O. was walking around in the kitchen - went to the breadbox to remove bread for toast when out jumped a mouse! S.O. screamed - I screamed and the critter scampered away. Upon checking - the mouse had chewed through the cinnamon raisin bagel package and had munched happily for a while. (We have since disposed of the bread box)!

We had not seen a mouse in the house for several years prior to this.
It was weird. We set mousetraps and never seemed to catch anything, nor did we see any evidence of a mouse.

The S.O. also put out some poison bait.

A few days later I had loaned "Mousehunt" to a friend - met her for lunch and she returned the movie to me saying that she and her grandchildren had thoroughly enjoyed it. When I came home from that lunch - there was a dead mouse in the middle of my kitchen floor.


WTF? - I haven't watched "Mousehunt" since, nor have I seen another mouse!!
