epidurals to make it all go away. Just stay in shape and do your "special" exercises. Oh and enjoy your sleep, lack of sleep is really much harder do get through than childbirth. IMHO :D

31. I was due on Christmas, and I know I heard about this! I decided to
arrive four weeks early.....

I weighed 5 pounds 8 and 1/2 ounces, and was 20 inches long!

It was the last time I was skinny.....

My girls were much bigger and healthier: My oldest came in at 8 pounds, 13 ounces, and 22 inches long.

My youngest came in at 10 pounds 6 ozs, and was equally long as her sister....

And, no, she was not a caesarian section! I did some mighty pushing, though!

:woohoo:

Neither one of my girls ever looked "new.".......

Edited on Tue Dec-06-05 06:32 PM by LeftyMom
but he was a full month late so his head didn't mold very much. Luckily I'm a strong girl, it took me 23 hours to dialate enough to push him out but just under an hour of pushing.

When he was born he looked like he'd have crawled out of the room if you set him on the floor, he was so big and robust and alert. (I assume this was because he was so late- if the kid had taken any longer he'd have come out with a backpack and a lunchbox.)

He was a chunky one, too. From his birth thursday evening to his first checkup Monday moring he went from 8 lbs 5 ozs to 12 lbs. :wow: All on breastmilk, of course. :D

I got the twins thing a lot too, probably because I put on 45 lbs.

:woohoo: for mommies and nice fat babies!

61. so was I! My parents were all set to name me "Noelle" ...
... but the doctor decided to induce labor, because he was leaving on a 3-week vacation. (This was back in the day when this was not only done quite frequently for reasons of convenience, but he felt he could actually admit this to my folks!)

As mentioned earlier, I did come out a bit small ... I guess we'll never know how much of this (and my struggles with bronchitis, etc.) may have been connected. Luckily for me, I was born in Canada rather than 30 min away in Buffalo or Fort Erie ... and Medicare had been introduced a few years earlier ... so my dad didn't have to rely on a novice teacher's salary to pay my medical bills.

Our family doctor used to worry that my mom would be prone to diabetes because I was so big when I was born. (Apparently, the weight of your kids is a factor.) When I hit 5' in the 4th grade, he figured I was simply meant to be bigger than average.
