11. I got 'Triumph of the Will' from Netflix
awhile back; the film clips of Hitler used in the "Killer Joke" sketch were taken from it. I did some cross-referencing between it and the Python DVD and learned what was actually said. (Hitler was speaking to the Reich Labor Service at the 1934 Nuremberg Party Congress.)

"My dog's got no nose" was actually "And furthermore, no longer will it be the case in Germany" ("that physical labor will be seen as anything less than any other work.")

"How does he smell?" was "We are the Reich's young manhood."

"Awful" was "The whole nation" ("passes through your school.")



And I, apparently, am das über Python geek. :blush:

That's amazing to find the actual clips and their matching translations - I find that fascinating! I love detail like that. Thanks for sharing!

I wonder who it was that originally had to go through "Triumph" to match up to the "Deadly Joke" script...?

I still have to give kudos to my step-dad for introducing me to Python at the age of 8.
