Cascadian returns.........in Spokane???

With all of the exciting going's on and the fact that more people are finally waking up to the fact that Bush is messing up everything, I just had to come back to DU. I do have other excuses. I was without my PC for about a couple of months. What an adventure it has been.

I WAS planning to make my move to Long Beach, California. I was hoping to get a job and a place to live within a month. I am eternally greatful that my friend's were kind enough to let me stay at their apartment for a month, but I was hoping to find at least a temp job within two weeks. None of this happened! I looked around but my efforts were futile. Within four weeks, I was on the verge of being broke and had to finally give up my goal of being in the California sun. I had to give up this.....

Considering that my Mom, my sister and her family live in the Spokane/Coeur d'Alene area, I had to no choice but to come to that area. I am only going to stay for at least 3 years. No more, no less. I had no place else to go. I am now finally starting to get settled and I am hoping to get my butt to school. Maybe I will return to California eventually. Now, I can't! :cry:

I am practically living the Green Day song "Boulevard of Broken Dreams". I wished my plans would just work out. So here I am. Stuck in the middle of Spokane, Washington. Freezing my tail off and pondering my next move. I can only go on the internet and stare at the surfer girls, palm trees, and 75 degree heat from afar.

I hope you out there will cheer me up. I will need to!

Welcome back! It sounds like CA might still be a way off, but at least you've set a goal.

Spokane, huh? Okay, so it's not the French Riviera, but it's not THAT bad. (Wear a coat, though.)
