BREAKING: Woman vs. Car Standoff Ends. Film at Eleven.

Good Evening All:

You will be pleased to know that in an act both patriotic and brave, I finally ended the "insurgent doors frozen shut" standoff and broke into my own vehicle. While I cannot reveal the top-secret (Pentagon approved, IF in fact it exists) torture technique I used, let's just say it involved a very long extension cord and a hairdryer. And let's just say that IF said torture did in fact take place - an utterly preposterous allegation which I will neither confirm nor deny - it would have lasted approximately fifteen minutes in 8 degree weather, with me looking sharply like an idiot-cicle to merry passerby. On the upswing, once hacking into the vehicle I encountered a nearly half-full bag of peanut M&Ms, waylaid there from my last driving adventure.

I would like to thank my friends and supporters for their many warm (oh, ha ha) wishes during my time of annual Yankee bitching.

Well, I almost got my fingers stuck to my car keys when I dropped my keys in the snow, took off my mitten to pick them back up, and the warmth from my hand melted the snow on the key, but then the bitter cold immediately froze it again. Fortunately I was able to pull my hand away quickly just as I felt the freezing begin. Scary!

We don't get those types of terrorist attacks down here. :)

Maybe you could arrange to send some of that lovely warmer weather up this way in the meantime?

Go ahead and laugh, I was laughing myself at how dumb I looked. If it assists the visual, I was wearing knee high boots, my father's old overcoat and a too big fuzzy faux leopard skin hat which kept falling down over my eyes.
