Lost another work colleague

she still lives, but her vision has deteriorated to the point where she cannot work any longer. She was in procurement. She left a few weeks ago and I just found out.

This has been not a good year for the work groups. :(

why did you found out so late? Are those informations withhold?
Is someone else coming in for that job or do you have to cover for it?

I'm in product evaluations. The product line we work on is mature and not changing very much, so I had no need to talk to her. I don't think that they would make this public information.

I can feel your shock though. When our personelle manager died in March out of the blue we all were very much in shock. And it was made known to all in the company. Some even went to his funeral (me too).
