Bertinelli and Van Halen to Divorce

Actress Valerie Bertinelli has ended speculation about a reconciliation between her and estranged husband Eddie Van Halen after filing for divorce. The couple split four years ago but have never made their separation official until now.

In legal papers filed yesterday, Bertinelli calls on the couple's pre-nuptial agreement to come into play as they plan to divide up their assets.

She cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

The couple has been married for more than 20 years and has a teenage son, Wolfgang.

8. I used to live in San Diego and in the late 80s there were rumours

that Eddie would hang out in some of the dive bars in the Sports Arena and USD neighborhoods and pick up random women in bars. Who knows if it was true. Could have been some woman who wanted us to believe she had been with Eddie.

However, if true, she should not have put up with it for so long, IMO.

9. Old news.

I'm on the VHML; they've been separated since Oct. 2001; so we were pretty sure this was coming. However; in May when VH kicked off their tour here he was still wearing his ring. Interesting; though....
