1. I don't have a canine companion, but that's a funny/adorable pic!
Here's a kick, though :D :D

2. Mine does the stare-down.
She does it for everything, so I have to rattle off the list of possibilities until her ears perk up.

3. He growls at us.
And makes a sound that resembles "I want".

6. Max would step on my foot.
He was a 75 pound German Shepherd.
If supper was a little late, he'd just walk in and put his foot on mine.
That's the only time he did this.

7. They walk right up to me and yell, "Feed me, dammit. I'm f**king hungry."
It freaks people out whenever they're at the house. Especially when my Welsh Springer Spaniel starts doing his quantum physics homework and my Lab curls up with a Shakespeare play.

9. I just love that little guy
And I think we had that same linoleum when I was a kid. Or something similar.

I don't have a dog now but I've always fed my dogs twice a day, at the same time of day. So they never really had to tell me when they were hungry because they knew they were going to eat at that time. Except for The Beagle (she had a name but we almost never used it - she was always just The Beagle)- she, as Beagles are, was a little glutton and showed her hunger by the time-tested Beagle method of big brown eyes looking pleadingly at you while wagging tail briskly. She was so darn cute.
