Are your shorts too long?
Union files grievance over fines for long shorts

Have the NBA's fashion police gone too far?...

The league has been on the lookout for violations of the rule that states a player's shorts cannot extend below 0.1 inch above the knee. To date, $10,000 fines have been handed out...

Some clubs have complained, furthermore, that the league could have made things easier by giving Reebok guidelines to help make sure all players were in compliance. A common protest from veteran players is that they're simply wearing the shorts they get from the teams -- and the same-size shorts they've been wearing for years...

1. Basbetball is too boring, anyway, so make them wear those...
...Richard Simmons style short-shorts. That'd be really funny, at least.

2. This trend was restarted by the Arkansas team of the early 90's
I say restarted because the original "cagers" wore such long shorts...it's HERITAGE!!! and HISTORY!!!

This is beyond stupid. I guess Kobe has to give up his tights or are those not covered just the shorts?

They made the long shorts big and baggie too.

BTW- a buddy of mine was going off about how much pub the Fab5 get and I reminded him that they basically showed up and took UM to THE final game their first two years (18 and 19 year olds). Lost to (puke) Duke and UNC (Dean Smith's last championship). Not a bad record for 5 guys in two years.
