There was a big fat letter in my mailbox when I came home
and it was from Senator Feingold. That made my day!

I had asked him about the Stop Loss policy- I will post more on his response this weekend.

1. Lol! That's great! Russ is all about the response letters.
I had to stop signing my name to the moveon petitions because every time I did I'd get a letter from Russ about it, and since he was on the good side of the issue 9 times out of 10, I started to feel really bad about bugging him and his office all the time.

I'll keep an eye out for your next post about it--I'd love to see what he had to say.

4. He never seems to be caught off guard with an interview question
I'll bet he was an amazing student, always thoroughly prepared for his classes!

2. My dear undeterred!
Was it a personal letter to you? If so, then biggo congratulations!

Those are rare as hen's teeth!

:woohoo:

3. Oh gosh no, not a personal letter
But there was the letter and an attachment, and it just made me happy that someone in his office took the time to do that. I wonder how many Senators have a response letter prepared for something like stop loss - there hasn't even been legislation on it. I have heard that he is wanting to put an end to this "back door draft" and while his letter didn't spell that out, its clear the issue is important to him and that he wants to make sure people who enlist know what they are getting into.
