My son made me proud tonite!
My son was going to (yet another) birthday party tonite and I was ready with the standard $10 in a card. At the last minunte he tells me that the invitation says:

No gifts, please. If you would like to donate a new unwrapped gift we will be donating them to the Toys for Tots program.

I thought this was a really nice idea and had a few things tucked aside that he could take and he said that he would rather give one of his Christmas presents! So.... I dug around to the already-wrapped gifts and chose one for him to open and donate.

It was this this Spinner Wheel thing that has a rip cord that you pull and the wheel goes flying....something he thought was pretty cool. But he seemed happy to give it up and it made me really proud!

8. Now THAT's what good Americans do.
They put others before themselves.

I also consider that a Christian value.
