Oh, crap. Here comes that song
The local PBS station is doing the Doo-Wop thing (pledge drive, y'know) and here come Brooklyn Bridge doing "The Worst That Could Happen."

2. The first two
I was 18 and driving home; I'd just found out my first real love, my first LTR, had married another guy. And, of course, that song comes on the radio. And I'm trying to drive with tears rolling down my cheeks...

I learned something that day: the radio knows.

3. If the radio knows,
then why are they playing that song during a pledge drive?
Does it make you more willing to cough up the cash?

Sigh... been there. :(

4. I dunno, but these 'classic rock' shows
must work, because that's about all they ever show during pledge drives anymore.

They're getting better, though. Now they're cutting in some old clips and original recordings instead of the endless parade of fossils before the Seriously White People. :eyes:

6. I think it knows what you're wearing
Dunno. I was only a DJ for less than a year.

8. It sure does Oeditpus...
It sure does.

When there has been strife in my life... I'd have to stop listening.

It's there during the good times too though.

9. Yup. It is
I'd sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And everything I had to know
I heard it on my radio

You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds, invaded by Mars
You made 'em laugh, you made 'em cry
You made us feel like we could fly

Radio
