Can I vent for a minute?

My ex is an ass. I've gone out of my way to be nice to him and he can't even take our son for the afternoon without making a big fucking production out of it. He acts like he's doing me a big favor driving me to the grocery store, never mind that the whole reason I need him to do so is he still has my car (my family's giving him another to make up for it, but he hasn't bothered to go across town and get it.) He's still using my living room as a fucking storage unit and I've fucking had it up. to. here.

Oh, and the next time I call him and that bitch he lives with won't give him the phone, I'll tell her just what I think of her meddling ass, too.

Get in the mindset that you are basically a single parent and don't depend on him for anything. If he does stuff then fine, but if not.. let him go.


I am speaking from experience here... it's easier to struggle on your own that put up with being used and taken advantage of.

I emailed him and told him that at the end of this weekend my car *will* be in my parking space and the boxes will be gone. I also told him that if he doesn't speak to his roomie/love interest about proper phone etiquette and respect for his child's mother, I will.

I know you're trying to not let it get really blown out of proportion, but I think what you just emailed him will be good. Let us know how it goes? :)

One of my friends was in a similar situation, and she wound up piling his stuff in a mountain on the sidewalk. She got her livingroom back :evilgrin:

I haven't seen my ex forever -- maybe since our oldest graduated high school years ago. It feels good not to even know the last time I saw his deadbeat @ss. He used his new wife to evade keeping up his side of the parenting. Poor lady.
