love it when Karma strikes
we've had an ongoing property dispute between knuckledragger next door and another neighbor in the backlot behind us

the driveway shared by knuckledragger and the backlot neighbors is a right of way

knuckledragger had a survey done about 2 years ago, and then last year put up a fence which pretty much creates a real problem for the backlot neighbors

between knuckledragger and us is a strip of land about 6-7 feet wide. my partner's attitude has been as long as he stays over there the property/right of way is not our problem and we can't do much about it anyways

in October - the backlot neighbors had a survey done of their property - their surveyor determined there is a discrepency between his survey and the knuckledragger's survey.

backlot neighbor's lawyer did some digger and SHAZZAM - knuckledragger's survey is wrong. the property line goes down the middle of the driveway - and half that driveway is OURS.

when knuckledragger's house was built the previous owner's of our house allowed for a right-of-way to accomodate the driveway and for access of other owners of land in the back. sweet.

to cover our butts - my partner will be talking to her bosses (she works in a law firm) and see if we need to take any steps to secure our property, like a property search and/or survey. Also what our options are if knuckledragger pulls any crap -- and he will...
