Anybody watching the Elton John concert?

My mother and I are Elton John fans (I became a fan when he did that "Circle of Life" song for the movie "The Lion King" since that was the age I started liking music) and watching now on NBC. It's a great show and he's one of the few people I think who can sing live really well: just as well as on the records he does. I'm now watching him sing "Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting" I think and he let people come up on the stage and dance, even a twelve year old kid was up. :D

Though maybe it airs here during my Manilow concert tonight. :-(

Hopefully someone's taping it for me...I read about it weeks ago and looked forward to it. I can go see him in person, on the Strip, but I don't have the 200-something dollars spare right now. :-(

TV gives you the best seat in the house, and no inflated ticket price.

He really is good, still.

3. Especially if you're short like me

I've been to a few concerts in my life and the best concert I went to was Jonny Lang with my mother and we sat in the balconey and could look down. I got great photo's too. So that's one reason why I like tv concerts. Plus, you can tape them and watch them again. I missed half of it though but it was still really good. He has one of the best voices live.

5. I assure you, it will be taped...and torrented, most likely.

I can almost guarantee that it will be available as a torrented DVD, with the commercials cut out, and probably a nice menu screen. Possibly, it will be taken directly from the satellite feed as raw data without any audio/video conversion.
