I heard something very sad last evening........
My book club met at a nice restaurant in Berkeley for our Christmas dinner/meeting.
Seems the woman who was the owner of an independent book store in the Montclair Village of Oakland has just passed away. Sheesh. She was only 52 and apparently died in her sleep. I really liked her. It was wonderful to walk into her bookstore and find all kinds of liberal books prominently displayed.
She had a passion for books and for liberal ideology.

I'll miss her.

RIP Debi Echlin.
