BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Students at Pennsylvania's Lehigh University are grappling with the news that their sophomore class president has been arrested on charges of robbing a bank.
Authorities said 19-year-old Greg Hogan handed a note to a teller at a Wachovia Bank branch Friday saying he had a gun and wanted money. Police say he got away with almost $3,000.
The picked him up that evening at his fraternity house.
Besides being class president, Hogan is a cellist in the university's orchestra. His father is a Baptist minister in Barberton, Ohio.
Classmate Steve Juisti said it's a big question why someone with so much going for him would commit such a crime. The Editor of the Lehigh student newspaper said, "It's by far the most interesting story we've ever encountered here."
