I really underestimated how difficult the surgery would be. I thought I'd be back to work in 3 days and maybe back to the gym in a week or two. Wow... was I ever wrong.

I'm concerned about the way this thing looks. I thought repairing the hernia would get rid of the bump in my tummy. Now it just looks like I've traded in the bump above my belly button for a bump below my belly button. I really hate the way I look right now.

But I feel pretty good. I'm obviously not 100%, but I'll get there.

7. You might have a hematoma if it's bumping out still.

I'm going for my fifth drain today. It just doesn't seem to want to go away. Take your time healing.

8. what's a hematoma?

the last time I had hernia surgery, they stitched me up w/ some material that I had a reaction to. They ended up having to take the stitches out and then packing the wound every day for 5 or 6 weeks.

This time, they put in the propylene mesh.

The incision seems to be healing nicely, but there's a bump below it. And further below that my skin is a really interesting color.

9. I always enjoyed it also.

I went to a christmas party the other night and the theme was to make cookies. There were six guest and we made cookies drank beer and had a great time.
