Edited on Tue Dec-13-05 04:51 PM by Shell Beau
 I don't feel like doing homemade and Ragu is edible. He hates it with a passion. He has an Italian grandma (as they call Nona) and she makes hers homemade and that is where I learned mine from. Ragu will have to do for tonight!!

He really won't be mad (I was being facetious). He won't call it spaghetti though! He'll eat it w/o complaining but afterwards probably tell me not to make it ever again!

23. It's not what you can put in it..
... it's what you need to take out. All that sugar just ruins it :)

7. There's some decent jar sauce out there. Ragu is unnecessary.
Get yourself a jar of the good stuff, doctor it up with a bunch of onions and garlic and herbs and spices and stuff (takes like three minutes), and it really ain't bad.

But he shouldn't complain. You could be demanding to be taken OUT for dinner, couldn't you?

11. Like MissHoneyChurch said,
put some extra spices in it and tell him that Nonna tried it and said 'Cavolo!'. That'll work!

18. Heck! Ragu in our house *is* spaghetti.
Homemade pasta sauce is of course the best, my mother IMO of course has the best pasta sauce recipe, but my wife hates it if I try to do fresh because she complains it takes too long. So guess what gets used?

Yep.

22. Well, sure, more Orthodox Pastafarians do get a little cranky
when being proselitised by Ragusians, Progresso-ives or even Barilla-ists. It's a one time service though, no need to convert.
