Good name for a new kitten?
We're about to get a kitty for my daughter for Christmas.

I like Delilah.

3. Evangeline. Rosa. Katrina.
I'd have named mine Katrina if I'd known what she'd be like. Every day she breaks something new. But she came with the name Amber, so I kept it. (Don't get me wrong, I love her, but, damn.)

7. My cat is named Tuffie...I call her Tuffers quite often
She thinks she is a lion in a little 7 pound body. Her ego depends on this and she loves to show her prowness....the scrathes on my forearm (from playing) demonstrates this. Ahem

You may want to consider the vowel sounds of the other pets in your house. If you have, say, a dog named Iris, you may want to avoid other names with a long i sound.

31. Wait til you actually get the kitty
Cats know their names, or at least the name they're willing to share with humans. If you look at one long enough, s/he'll tell you what it is.

38. Is it definitely going to be a girl kitty?
That makes a big difference. I can think of lots of boy kitty names, but girl names are harder for kitties, for some reason. For humans, I think it's the opposite.
