Question: Are RWers less likely to be creatively gifted?

I ask this because it seems to me that anyone who is talented in the arts tends to be more sensitive than other folks. I've noticed a paucity of creatively gifted RWers and--shame on me--I find untalented people to be boring as hell. I can hardly stand to spend time with someone who isn't artistic in some way. (BTW, "art" can be defined rather broadly. If someone is really good at something, I'd call it an art, I suppose. :shrug:)

Although there still exists the strange case of Mark Halperin.

Total koolaid drinking Repub, friend of Shlafly and ex-speechwriter for Dole.

But he writes damn good books.

2. Yes. Truly creative people have minds that are expanded beyond

mere good/bad dualistic thinking, and so tend to be liberal.

But, that said - while they are few and far between in the world of fine art, there are some truly good and gifted conservatives working in the field of crafts and more hands-on usable art, like furniture making, blackismithing, instrument making, etc.

The conservative mind seems to be better equipped for that kind of artistry - maybe because it's more rules-based (can't make a chair out of burlap and glitter just because you feel like it)? I'm not sure.
