Name something you used to love but now loathe...
What's something you used to love but now loathe?

Could be a musician, a movie, and actor/actress, a food group, a politician - anything goes.

Just get it off your chest, you'll feel better.

I'll give you the first two I can think of: Dire Straits and Star Wars.

I used to love the hell outa some Dire Straits back in the 80s. Had all their records, and had them high up in my playlist, especially the early stuff. Now I can't turn those wankers off fast enough. All I can hear anymore is gratuitous guitar wanking and Mark Knopfler desperately wishing he were Bob Dylan.

Now, I saw the first three Star Wars movies countless times, but I'm officially over it. I found the new movies tedious and over-long, and now when I see the old ones I just get all riled up about how I wish Lucas had just left well enough alone.

I'm not looking for a fight here, I know I'm in the minority with the Star Wars bit, but it really makes me want to :puke:

Chances are you loathe something I love, so do tell, my friends. What do you loathe that you used to love?

:toast:

18. Kidneys. Celery.
My parents allege that I used to love devileld kidneys when I was a microGump, but I remember back to at least three years old and have hated kidneys (liver, etc) as long as I remember.

I do remember chomping down on celery, though, when I was a kid. I have no idea when I woke up and decided that celery was putrid.

22. I saw "The Star Wars Holiday Special" for the first time a few months ago
and it made me rethink my entire love of Star Wars (which had already been given several knocks by Lucas' perpetual tinkering & the shite of the 2nd trilogy). I've come to the decision (how long this'll last I don't know) never to watch Star Wars again and leave what happy memories I have intact.

Something I now loathe that I used to love is the weekly Prime Ministers Question Time, where Blair has to field questions from MP's for half an hour. I watched/listened to it religiously for years until about a year ago where I was so depressed by it all and pissed off that nobody really gave Blair a hard time. I've caught it a few times since and it just makes my blood boil. (The same goes for Blair's monthly press conference's.)

24. Driving.
I constantly find myself in heavy traffic, and I get soooo tempted, when I see someone in my rear-view mirror barreling down the road doing 100+ in heavy traffic weaving in and out---to wait until he/she is almost on me, and then feed them my bumper....
but, not to worry, I won't do it...just tempted.

applies. I do loathe some things, but I never loved them in the first place, so they don't fit the criteria.
