attacking the lady planning his funeral for an innocuous comment she made about the size of Williams' funeral (she said it would be comparable in size to Rosa Parks' funeral, which people twisted to mean that she was comparing Williams to Parks, so a misreading of her comment turned into attacks on everything from me to Jesse Jackson). Godwin's law had been invoked within a few posts actually, with people saying that Williams was Hitler.

I mean, regardless of what you think of Williams, to misrepresent someone's innocuous statement and attack everyone involved shows not only a lack of progressive thought, but a lack of willingness to acknowledge when your misrepresentation has been pointed out.

I can understand people having a moderate point of view and I realize I am a bit more left than many but when somebody uses every stereotypical right wing slur against liberals in their posts then ..well...if it walks like a duck etc..
