And I think I know the origin of it. On an early "That '70s Show," Eric's dad said to him, "...unless you want to wear your ass for a hat." Somebody might've heard that, laughed and said "Asshat!" and started using it.

Just kiddin'. Mine is actually the retro-juvenile "asswipe". I like the sheer level of contempt it conveys. These new-fangled terms like "asshat" and "ass clown", ya gotta think about them a little before they sink in--not good. But with "asswipe", you know you've been insulted right away!

15. I don't tend to use arse~ insults
and I won't get into why buttmunch should be a term of endearment as it would get the thread locked pretty quickly - and probably me banished to the deepest depths as well.
