Poll question: The great marshmallow debate
I've been drowning my sorrows in hot chocolate today and pondering the all important question...which kind of marshmallows? Plain white? Rainbow colors? Has The Flying Spaghetti Monster declared a position on this vitally important point of dogma?

1. Mini? Full-size? It's all just too complicated.
Oh, wait... it's not. I can't have marshmallows OR hot chocolate right now... too many carbs.... my doctors will slap my pee-pee.

2. carbs shmarbs...
I lost about 140 pounds on a diet where I never counted any carbs...just calories. Plus you gotta treat yourself sometimes. I got my heart broken yesterday and I'm having chocolate and damn the calories. :)

And I never have been able to figure out how people use the jumbo marshmallows. How do you get more than about 2 into the mug?

8. They melt just fine :) - well, let's put it like this, my blood glucose
was at 571 recently, and my A1C was greater than 14, so it is a diet matter, rather than a "diet" (to lose weight) matter :)

9. you have to go with Fluff, much better than marshmallows
if you can't get fluff then i recommend Jet creme which is basically the same thing but when i grew up in Mass we had Fluff. I'm sorry about about heartbreak.

12. Thanks for the hug
I'm doing a little bit better today than I was last night. And tomorrow I'll be doing a little better still. The hot chocolate is working its magic. :)

I'm not sure about the fluff thing though. Not in hot chocolate anyway. I use it in making some of my fudge. And it's good mixed with peanut butter and chocolate chips, then rolled in balls and rolled in graham cracker crumbs and refrigerated.

21. yeah, but then they kind of look like a white swamp or something...
Now a melted full-size, that is a respectable mass of solid goo!

4. The veg ones are off-white 'cause they're made with unbleached sugar
They're still pretty good, though.

10. I've never seen those before...
sounds interesting though. Once they melt it doesn't matter anyway I'd imagine.

14. I don't know, I haven't thrown any in cocoa
I toasted 'em while camping. I do have a bag left and some cocoa so maybe I should find out after LK goes to bed.

They're really hard to find, I had to look all over to get 'em. Veg fluff is much easier to find and also really good.

I actually found honey-less graham crackers at the store the other day and I have two bars of choclolate! I'm gonna stuff myself so full of sugar once the kid goes to bed. :)

27. I know, that's why I get the vegan ones, which use agar-agar instead.
They're a world class pain in the ass to find and expensive to boot, but it's not as if I eat a ton of marshmallows. ;)

13. Snow day?
What is this snow you speak of? I think I may have seen pictures of it once. *snort*

If it gets below 60 here I consider it cold enough for hot chocolate. :)

17. Probably
Same with whipped cream on top. I had that on hot chocolate for the first time about a week ago at a holiday thing for work. It was good...but not the same.
