Ack. Kirk Cameron has a show on TBN.
I was checking to late night tv guide on Yahoo and as I was scrolling down to see what was going to be on Court TV tonight, I saw his name there. I immediately wretched. I couldn't help it. He got so preachy in a bad way later in life. Anybody know if he is a lefty or a righty (wing not hand)?

1. I would guess he is a righty...
from all the stuff I have seen about him recently.

3. I hate that his name has the same capital letter initials as Kurt Cobain.
It's creepy to think I saw Kurt Cobain's name and look again only to find a creepy right winger. :puke: Talk about a letdown.

10. Desperately.
He was the messiah of punk rock to me. I miss him terribly.

2. Pretty sure he is right wing--very far right wing at that
I remember that his web site told me I was going to hell, LOL. :D A fellow DUer posted a link to his site a while back, and it is pretty funny. I think he's very involved with that whole batty "Left Behind" crowd, so that's where my assumptions about his politics stem from.

7. I have to wonder with some of these clowns
whether they truly believe all this conservative fundie crap or that they see a gullible audience ready to cough up lots and lots of dough.

11. I Love that show!
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 12:47 AM by fishwax
big time righty. the show is seriously comical. the best part is the "man on the street" interviews, where his co-host preacher interviews people on camera and tries to get them to admit they're liars or thiefs b/c they stole a pack of baseball cards 23 years ago when they were six. Good stuff.

12. Is it a preachy, religious show?
Seems he wouldn't do anything unless it was 'for god.' :puke:

I have nothing against people wanting to serve God and be true to their religious convictions, but he seemed to go overboard with the whole thing--to the extent of being obnoxious and rather mean to his coworkers on Growing Pains.

His wife seemed nice when I encountered her once. He was playing 'big, bad, tv star' and wouldn't leave his table--had her doing everything. This was almost 10 years after he was on tv, I doubt anyone would have cared...

13. I'm not watching it, but it is on TBN.
That's Trinity Broadcasting Network. I would assume it is a preachy show if it is on that channel.

14. Oh, I really dislike that network...
I remember encountering them after the elections. They were having a 'praise-a-thon' and some incredibly, crass preacher was going on about how they were victorious and how they now needed 'spoils.' In other words, send in money PRONTO!

:puke:

So disturbing...
