Good Friday Morning, Everybody!

How are you? I hope all you Nighthawks have had a fun time tonight! Here we are at Friday and the beginning of another weekend can you believe it? :bounce: My wonderful Greekspeak leaves this morning for Missouri. :cry: He'll be gone until the 3rd or 4th of January. :cry: At least I'll have my friends here on DU to keep me company, huh? :hug:

It rained most of the day yesterday here too. Absolutely POURED too! Of course, no snow down here in Florida, but it was still a mess. Rain keeps people at home so it was very slow at the store until around 4 in the afternoon, when all hells broke loose!

Greekspeaks dad has cancer. :scared: He was just going to go spend the week before Christmas with his family and then come back to me. But, since we found out about his dad, he needs to stay longer...lots of decisions to be made (the cancer made it's way into his bones before it was discovered). :cry:

Be sure to pass along my condolences to Greekspeak. :hug: I lost my grandmother to cancer so I know what it's like.


Our rain was pretty torrential most of the time too. Right now it seems to be over, but it is still very wet out there. I'm not sure what the forecast is for today, though as long as it's not too noisy while I'm sleeping I don't much care.

It's been a rough time for us since we found out about this whole thing. :hug:
It's going to be mostly sunny down here today, so the rain is gone from the picture. I hope when you get home, everything is nice and quiet and you can sleep like a log all day long!

but the old one turned mostly into ice and won't go away. I have no idea if there's snow on the forecast or not, but usually we do have another load around Christmas.

54. Yes...I have to be there at 12 and work until 8.

That will help the time to pass more quickly. Do you chaps have post-Christmas sales like over here? If so I imagine that work will keep you run off your feet a fair bit.

I've just read why he's going - I'm terribly sorry it must be very hard for him and the whole family, and I send my very best wishes.

I had a jolly good time last night, the play was fascinating and very well acted, and I hadn't seen my friend for a couple of months so it was very good to catch up (we don't live very far from each other, but never seem to manage to arrange meetings very often).

So we managed to get drinks and some supper beforehand, and a leisurely drink after too. Thank goodness for a good train service, I got home at about quarter to 2 this morning - all good fun. :D

85. We have a room that's perfect for the two of us.
It's called a universal room. The great thing about it is that I can bring Frodie's play gym right into the shower. She was apprehensive the first night so I let her be a voyeur for my second shower. She wanted to play in the water with me but it was late so I made her wait until mid-day the next day. She flapped her wings, drank 1/2 the shower (not such a good idea because she never gets Clarine at home) and generally raised hell gettin' all wet!

79. I'm well.
We're having a holiday luncheon with work today and then mr. swim's office party tonight. Tomorrow will be errands and maybe a little decorating or cooking and probably staying home Saturday evening, which is fine by me!

All's well at the moment. :hug: I haven't been paying attention to the time difference lately; thinking last night, TJ's going to that show in London tonight, and then realizing you must already be home from the show and again this morning I thought "TJ is up mighty early for having been out so late." Honestly, you would think I was a blond. But with coffee the world (and its time zones)is coming into focus.

It's great you can get into London for a show on a week night. It's fun as well, after reading Cannikin's post, to think of you leading a DU Boys' Tour of the City! :loveya:
