1. To me ~ The DU Lounge is a cool place.

I've made some wonderful friends here.
I've laughed, gotten angry and cried.
I'm happy the Lounge is here.

2. i hear ya

although i don't seem to fit in here very well, but then again, i kinda don't give a fuck, but in a way i do.

i sure am happy to "know" you in the internet sense though.

believe me, you giving me the time of day around here really does mean a lot.

that's why i'm starting a joan alpern fan club.

8. You may not know this ...

But I actually look for your post.

You see ~ I'm quite a bit of a misfit around the Lounge myself. My true friends on DU are few but very precious to me.
In real time - I'm the same. My values and ways of viewing the world are very far from mainstream.

I'm one of those who hears the beat of a different drum.
I am alone in any crowd.
I have accepted that, although sometimes it hurts but I won't compromise who I am to fit in.

Please don't start a fan club. I love you for the thought but it would be very small and intimate.

The Lounge has become many things to me.....

It is, of course, a cool place to hang out with my friends.....

I have many friends here, and I love making new ones, as well.....

There is the capacity for love and real connections here.....

There is also, unfortunately, the capacity for real hurt and pain too...

But, for me, the Lounge is the true heart of DU, the beating, loving heart......

The Lounge has my heart, and it always will. I have become a true Lounge Lizard.....

How I LOVE it here!
