Man who fell off car hood dies

Kansas City police today said that a man, who fell off a hood of a car while trying to prevent a woman from leaving a party, died overnight.

Police have not released the man’s name.

The incident was reported about 10 p.m. Wednesday at Northeast 53rd Street and North Mersington Avenue in the Northland.

Police said the woman had started to leave the party, but the man hopped on the hood. In an effort to dislodge the man, the woman kept hitting her brakes. The man eventually fell, hit the road and suffered critical injuries.

Healing energy to the families of the parties involved - they will be suffering the consequences for many years hence, and remembering the holiday season in a bad way.
