Jeezus - It's cold as a mug here in San Francisco!
I just checked the thermometer and it's only 45 degrees at 3 pm! My heart goes out to the folks who live where they have real winter. This is cold enough!

:scared: :scared: :scared:

BRRRRRRR.....

1. Stop it!
:spank:

The night before last it was 2-above. A taste of things to come... (by mid January through late Feb.) 2-above will be balmy. It can and does hit 30-below at times but generally stays at or about 5-below or so for those weeks.

On the upside, our summers are GLORIOUS! I spent 6 days in SF in July and it ended being mostly rain and fog, And in fact I was cold at times. I brought clothing for 60+% weather, but that wasn't enough in the evenings especially by the wharf.

Nonetheless I had a blast in SF and you should be proud of your city :-)

2. Wow, that's cold.
But Maine looks like a beautiful place - I've never been up that far.

But I always enjoy the scenery in the higher budget Stephen King Flicks. :)

8. It's 40 degrees by my outside thermometer
Edited on Fri Dec-16-05 07:54 PM by RebelOne
here in North Georgia. And I am loving it. I am a winter person and 40 degrees is just fine with me. So far, the only heat I have needed has been 2 small space heaters -- one in the bedroom and the other in the living room. I haven't had to turn on the furnace yet. The only problem was that it had rained yesterday and the temperature dropped to below freezing and then there was a light fog, so there was ice on the roads, which made for some very tricky driving into work this morning.
