Did Jack Black just say "fuck" in his SNL monologue?
Edited on Sat Dec-17-05 11:40 PM by Scout1071
Or did he say "funky"? I've just rewound a few times and I can't tell for certain. Either way...I'm laughing my arse off.

Edited to note that I have a very strange attraction to Jack Black.

1. I was surprised by his performance in "King Kong"
He didn't completely suck. In fact, he was pretty good. So was the whole movie.

Apparently, Peter Jackson doesn't know how to make a movie less than three hours long.

13. I want Jackson to make a three-hour splatstick gore & gag fest
(but then I generally can't watch "Bad Taste" without sticking "Braindead" (aka "Dead Alive") on afterwards.)

6. we saw him filming the Tenacious D movie this summer in Santa Monica
my daughter got to meet him and she and my niece are hopefully in the background in one of the scenes they filmed at Venice beach. He was extemely nice to my kid.

4. Last week, I think I heard him say "shit" on the "Today" Show
Edited on Sun Dec-18-05 12:45 AM by Radio_Lady
when he was interviewed by Matt Lauer about "King Kong" -- again, it's what I THINK I heard. Is there a transcript of the interview?

Was there any discussion on the DU about that last week?

Jack Black is a good actor, but an apparent "serial curser" -- how profane!

17. UPDATE: Jack Black said "funky" -- and the song about King Kong
was hilarious! I laughed so hard my sides hurt!

OT: I didn't sleep much last night with the howling wind here in Oregon. Winds are 20 - 30 MPH and UP TO 70 MPH predicted for the Columbia Gorge tomorrow! Wow!

22. Somehow I find that less offensive than Tom Cruise using the word "glib"
on said show.

20. Are you speaking of my photo in the sig line? It's a studio shot
Edited on Sun Dec-18-05 06:19 PM by Radio_Lady
taken when I worked as a for the Clairol company of Stamford, CT, then a division of Bristol-Myers Squibb. The company was bought by Procter & Gamble. I won several sales awards and this shot was published in their newsletter.

I was a teacher, sort of -- I taught haircoloring to licensed hairdressers and beauty school attendees for almost a decade. Also, I have a stepdaughter who is a teacher in the state of Washington, and a step daughter-in-law who is a full professor in Massachusetts.

It's old and so am I -- but still young at heart! :)
