But his newest CD, Back Home, is disappointing, to say the least. I am going to offer it to my dentist to play in his waiting room. But if I knew anyone who was looking for music to play in an elevator, I would donate this CD.

The milkman, the paperboy, evening TV.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go (there's a heart).
There's a heart
A hand to hold onto.
Everywhere you look , everywhere you go.
There's a face
Of somebody who needs you.
Eveywhere you look,
When you're lost out there and you're all alone,
A light is waiting to carry you home,
Everywhere you look.
Everywhere you look.

Anybody remember those? Kind of like a Pop Tart in a coil. You put 'em in the toaster like a Pop Tart too, but they came in more "pastry-ish" flavors than Pop Tarts did.

I haven't even thought about those since the last time I had them, oh... thirty years ago or thereabouts. Don't know what made me think of them, either.

52. Randolph Scott
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO RANDOLPH SCOTT?
Recorded by The Statler Brothers
Written by Don Reid and Harold Reid

Everbody knows when you go to the show
You can't take the kids a- long
You've gotta read the paper and know the code
of G, PG and R and X
You gotta know what the movie's about
Be- fore you even go
Tex Ritter's gone and Disney's dead
The screen is filled with sex.

CHORUS
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
ridin' the range a- lone
Whatever happened to Gene and Tex
And Roy and Rex, the Du-ran-go Kid
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
His horse, plain as can be
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Has happened to the best of me.

Everbody's tryin' to make a comment
About our doubts and fears
True Grit's the only movie
I've really understood in years
You gotta take your analyst along
To see if it's fit to see
Whatever happened to Randolph Scott
Has happened to the best of me.

CHORUS

Whatever happened to Johnny Mack Brown
And Alan "Rocky" Lane
Whatever happened to Lash LaRue
I'd love to see them again
Whatever happened to Smiley Burnett
Tim Holt and Gene Autry
Whatever happened to all of these
Has happened to the best of me.

REPEAT LAST TWO LINES.

74. Whatever happened to Saturday night
Seems like a dream now, it was so long ago
The moon burned so bright and the time went so slow
And I swore that I loved her and gave her a ring
The bluebird was high on the wing

Whatever happened to Saturday night
Finding a sweetheart and holding her tight?
She said,"Tell me, oh, tell me, was I all right?"
Whatever happened to Saturday night?

The years brought the railroad
It ran by my door
Now there's boards on the windows
And dust on the floor
And she passes the time at another man's side
And I pass the time with my pride

What a tangled web we weave
Go 'round with circumstance
Someone show me how to tell the dancer
From the dance

What ever happened
To Saturday night?
Choosin' a friend and loosin' a fight
She said,"Tell me, oh, tell me, are you alright?"
Whatever happened to Saturday night?
Whatever happened to Saturday night?

78. ...Fay Wray
That delicate satin draped frame
As it clung to her thigh, how I started to cry
'Cause I wanted to be dressed just the same

Give yourself over to absolute pleasure
Swim the warm waters of sins of the flesh
Erotic nightmares beyond any measure
And sensual daydreams to treasure forever

Can't you just see it. Whoa ho ho!

Don't dream it, be it
Don't dream it, be it
