CHEVIOT, Ohio (AP) — For the second time this month, a life-size baby Jesus figure has been stolen from a Nativity scene in this Cincinnati suburb.
The baby Jesus was taken Saturday morning from the manger, leaving behind a leg that thieves tore off when they cut the cable that strapped the figure in, officials said.
"What's wrong with this world?" asked Steve Neal, Cheviot's safety-service director.
...Police have no leads in the latest theft. Neal said the city will increase police patrol around the display.

Girl honored for Nativity donation
Cheviot's Tuesday night City Council meeting will have a guest of honor, Julie Hendricks. She's the 12-year-old Anderson Township girl who donated her life-size Baby Jesus doll to the city's Nativity scene last week - after thieves took the display's original 42-year-old fiberglass model Dec. 8 - only to have it stolen early Saturday. For her efforts, Julie - making her first visit to the West Side city - will receive a mayoral proclamation. The 7:30 meeting is in council chambers at Cheviot's municipal building, 3814 Harrison Ave. Information: (513) 661-2700.
