Update: the news is good

I do NOT have another hernia. The bump in my tummy is merely fluid. He took a bunch of it out by needle aspiration today, and I'm going back next week for a follow-up.

He checked the area and had me cough and all, and he is convinced that there is no hernia--except the one that he fixed and he said that seems to be healing fine.

No more surgery required.

(on edit: I've also been cleared to do as much working out as I feel my body can take!)

He told me to go for it but to be sure to listen to my body for clues. He says my body will tell me when enough is enough.
