When you put up a personal ad, how long before you get a response?

And I wasn't even doing it seriously - my daughter put me up to it. I got a few responses within about a week and ended up corresponding with one guy for about 18 months, after making it clear that I wasn't actually looking for romance. He lived in California and I lived in Vermont but he always told me that if I ever wanted to try life on the west coast, I could stay at his place. So one day in December, I got laid off and decided to hell with it - I'd go to California. By that afternoon, I was in my car. Called him from about Nebraska and told him I was on my way.

That was 7 years ago this month. I'm still in California, we're still good friends, I met another guy who I fell in love with and I've been living with him for almost 5 years.

Personal ads, like god, work in mysterious ways. ;)

Once, however, when I was 23 and bold and reckless, I placed a newspaper personal ad.

Once.

Responded to someone's personal ad. Got an email from her a couple hours later. Met in person two days later. Got married two years after our initial exchange of emails.

1. Go to Adult Friend Finder, Alt.com, Craigslist's Casual Encounters, or somewhere equally meat-market-esque.
2. Post: "I am a single female in search of..." Everything after that is irrelevant.
3. OPTIONAL: Post a tit shot. It can even be one tit. Or a close-up of a nipple. It doesn't matter, as long as it's decent looking.
4. Watch the responses pour in, within minutes.

Sure, these won't be responses you want...hell, even if you were a single female trolling for casual sex you probably wouldn't want any of these responses...but they'll come fast.
