My Marine son is coming home from Japan today.
It's just for the holidays but we haven't seen him for 16 months! We'll have him for almost three weeks!

Then again, he turned 21 in May and this will be his first legal visit to Sixth Street (Austin.) ;)

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

3. Thanks! We're going to meet him at the airport with signs and balloons.
You know, embarrass the heck out of him. :D

4. Thanks a bunch! I hope we still know him!
We've talked on the phone a lot and occasionally used the webcam. We won't see him again until he gets back in the States next August. I'm trying not to let my expectations for the visit get too high -- too much pressure on him! He has lots of friends who also want to see him.

6. I sure will! Thanks!
This is a tough time for him. He wants to serve his country but he's opposed to this war and he knows his dad and I are absolutely livid about it.

We're surprising him by inviting a bunch of his friends to meet him at the airport and going out to eat. It should be fun! :)
