They do a good deal of heavy sounding stuff, electric guitar riffs and the like. I'm sure he'll like it.

3. I just heard who these guys used to be:
They were Savatage, a not-too-successful 80's metal band. They're doing much better as the TSO.

13. Oh, was it Testament? Maybe that's it...
I was listening to Dee Snider's House of Hair the other night, and I THOUGHT he said Savatage. But it could have been Testament. I'm not that familiar with either band. I'll Google 'em and let you know.

17. Yes, Alex Skolnick joined Savatage after Testament
broke up, apparently, and did a few albums with them. Then they did TSO, and Skolnick has sort of an on-and-off relationship. He has actually formed his own JAZZ trio, believe it or not.

That's what I found from a quick Google.
