Johnny Damon sells soul to Devil...err...is now a Yankee.
And that means he'll be on a team that will make the playoffs and be out in the first round.

1. Love NY, but hate the Yankees for that very reason.

6. From the time he came up with the Royals,
we knew he'd sell out to get there. Boston was just a stop along the way.

7. Another gazillion years before Boston wins again
How girlie man of their GM not to even offer JD a contract. Boston Red Sox, the stupidest team in baseball.

8. you don't know too much do you
:eyes:

Sox offered him $40 mil for 4 years. Yanks bought him for $52 mil over the same time frame.

10. I know enough to know that we've got him and the Sox don't
And I also know that memories of that one Championship (in your lifetime) is all that Boston fans will have.:woohoo:

11. Let's see what else I know, besides Boston being disloyal
Pokey Reese, Pedro Martinez, Derek Lowe, Dave Roberts, Orlando Cabrera, Dougie Mientkiewicz, gone by the start of the 2005 season. (some loyally to a WS winning team)

Mark Bellhorn and Embree, out on waivers during the 2005 season, along with Kevin Millar and Bill Mueller not offered contracts at the end of the season, and Mirabelli just traded.

Why would Daemon want to stick around? To watch more losing? The $40 million offer was a joke, and we all know it. Boston isn't interested in winning another championship soon, and you guys WISH The Boss ran your team.

9. I am surprised Boston let Damon get away. He is a tough out. And
he will definitely help the Yankees in reg. season AND the playoffs. Will it be enough to get the Yanks to another WS? Who knows but it is not a meaningless move on their part imo.
